Seat Cover

Hi,

This is serious. I have found a moron who installed the previous seat cover. Originally , it was a pink-purple-and-white bike. I find out a picture of how it should looked 16years ago.






After some serious working, prying out the 2-layers of staples,i repeat,2 layers of staples, i finally manages to see the remaining foam on the seat.it was not so bad but certain part of it were torn.





This is how it looks after taking out the fugly seat cover. next plan is to put on a better cover which is grippier and also have some Yamaha blue accent on it.

MX Boot

Hi,

From the moment i got this bike i've always been thinking of the boot. I must get one of those because my Race Boots is not,under no circumstances, should be ride on the dirt. Well, my uncle just called in and ask me whether i would like to buy it from him. hm..should be cheap though because i'm his only nephew that rode MX..LOL

Fortunately, it was the same size as me.Size 42.Black Colour from Gaerne.



The model name is X2. It's an old model because there's only quite a few pics on it on the net.The condition was pretty bad.. but it is still ok to wear on dirt though

Throttle Cable

Hi, I find out another thing that annoys me a lot. This time it's the throttle cable.
argh.when will it all gonna revealed! I guess i wont be surprised if one day i open up the engine and find out it's missing out a piston in it!

As you can see here from the picture that the throttle is somehow seem 'wrong'.. The cable should run on top of the bar but it run below,thus the throttle setup is moved a bit to the front.this was due to the previous owner have exchanged the throttle with the one from Yamaha TZM150 which was short and did not do its job good enough.
so the search for a nes throttle begins.

i have searched for a new cable,and i found this at RTB.




this should be good for my bike, as i had measure it(with my hand as the vernier caliper) and it was long enough.

but i didn't bought it at that time because as i remembered the last time i check the price is not the same, and my budget is also insufficient as all the fund had to go to my race bike, because the race is coming.please refer to www.redtheracer.blogspot.com for details.

i guess that i will buy it later..

Few DIY parts..

Hi, last Sunday i managed to get some things done...Things that wasn't cost much, but it should be functioning perfectly.

Brake hose holder


The fugly previous one were thrown away heartlessly as it was odd colored and rusty.
This one weight much more lighter than that and it held there by a double tape. i wondered whether it would be a good idea or not. this is the hose holder from MotoGP fairing.should be tought,right?

Chain slider
There was suppose to have another slider on it but it went missing. I do remember that it was also resembles of something which i have in my toolbox ..

RTB Racing Services

Hi, today i went to *RTB to make my own engine bracket. It was the one missing from the very 1st day i got it and to me it was the most annoying thing that went missing. How would anyone loose it? I'm sure the previous owner took it along. Another good tip, buy your bike new, or from someone who want to quit riding. That way they might throw away anything with the purchase. Long story short, i managed to get it done. It was a hell of a job with hot weather plus office attire.Nevertheless, it was all fun when it came to playing with aluminum!

*For those who never heard of RTB, it was a bike shop located near Taman Bolton, Batu Caves. Here is where i learn a lot of things from many2 helpful friends. It was also my Sifu's workshop where i learn everything from him, from Racing, Custom Building,everything.just name it and he knows it well.

Rear tire

Hi, you guys probably remembered that i had mentioned about my rear tire. it was deflated badly..


so i went to bikerz to buy the tube..it was 19" and costs me RM19.(RM1 per inch?)



and so i tried to change it by myself but i don't have the tools that i needed..so off i went to a nearest workshop.
oh,and the mean time, the motard tyres were fitted for a moment. Nice eh?



Unfortunately,i dont have the rim lock that i was suppose to have.. i studied about it on Youtube and decided that i must have it since i want it to be as perfect as it can be. So off i went again to Bikerz to search for the rim lock and also the rubber band.





Then, unfortunately they have given me the wrong size..it was suppose to be 1.85" but they've given me the 2.15"..duh!

Ace hardware

I bought a chain to lock the bike safely. The chain is Zinc-coated so it wont rust.



and i also bought hose that i plan to put on my carb


Apart from that.these 2 items arrive at my doorstep



these were from honda i guess as it have the unique nut form for the front disc..
i'm looking for yamaha hub to put on this motard rim to my yz.
